🎤 Hi, сould you introduce yourself?

I am Ajiboye Fatimo, I am from Nigeria, i am a software Developer.
I am a global ambassador, country leader, influencer, founding member for WomenTech Network, i am also the city chapter lead She Code Africa, port harcourt, Rivers State. I am a Tech Instructor at TeenCoders Hub where we train kids and teens about tech which includes coding, ict, building games, apps, animations, robotics snd so on.

🎤 What are you working on?

Building apps, chats bots, games, animations, robotics

🎤 What work experience do you have?

Trained kids and teens on building projects, ui/ux, builts applications, chatbot

🎤 How did you get into your field?

I got into tech through Google Andela scholarship 2019, i applied for the scholarship went through the application process and was selected.
At first tech was not what i was interested in because there was no relationship with what i studied in school, i studied petroleum engineering, back then in school even programming as a borrowed course was never interesting to me, but when i got the Google scholarship, after the 2nd offline meetup, i got more informed about what tech is all about and i became interested in it, and then passion grew for tech especially having tech experts who were ready both to mentor and help me anytime i encountered challenges and i got so much encouragement from them.

🎤 What is your technology stack?

Android Development, Machine Learning(Java, Kotlin, Python)

🎤 Describe your first project and what is your role in it.

A travel app called Travelmantics. It is used for booking to any country of your choice, you create an account, then when you login, you can make your online booking and also upload an image in the app.

🎤 What difficulties did you encounter along the way?

When i encountered an error or bugs while coding and then it takes my a longer time to retify the error, sometimes i feel like giving up, but passion keeps me going until a solution is resolved.

🎤 What tips would you give to someone wanting to break into tech?

Do some reading, research, listening, get informed, attend tech meetups, seek for a mentor, find tools online, and make decision of the track you want to learn, build projects, build out your resume and apply for jobs

🎤 What are your career aspirations?

To be an expert in tech, to be an expert in machine learning, to work with big tech companies like Google, Facebook and so on, creating solutions for the world, growing and expanding my network and also to collaborate with tech experts around the world.

Medium Daily digest, Freecodecamp, codeacademy, datacamp, youtube, pluralsight, udacity, cousera, udemy, follow tech experts and companies on social media

🎤 What’s the best way to keep up to date with what you're doing?

To always practise, build projects, keep reading and keep learning everyday.
