🎤 Hi, сould you introduce yourself?

Hi! My Name is Amina Khan I am from Pakistan, the country known for its breath taking beauty. I am a data scientist and an AI enthusiast with an entrepreneurial mindset, I also have experience as a Android and web developer. I have recently done my bachelors in computer science. I love to broaden my network& share ideas with passionate people! I believe in women empowerment and I want myself to be a change-maker for the community.

🎤 What are you working on?

Currently I am doing my MS in Computer Science. I am also working as a Data Science intern. During this quarantine period I am volunteering for virtual events and Tech Help, especially to the platforms which supports women empowerment #Together_We_Grow

🎤 What work experience do you have?

I've done couple of Internships related to data visualization, data analytics, big data, android studio and some in web hosting, front end and back-end development. Other than that, I've hosted some of the tech events here locally. I've also mentored different virtual tech events such as global ambassador at women tech network and a speaker at Girlscript event these are only few that I been presenting in. I love to share and learn. I believe that knowledge is nature's biggest gift.

🎤 How did you get into your field?

Oh well, that was quite unplanned, in my childhood video games were the only thing I was familiar with when it comes to computers and technology stuff. I had so many other professions in my head to follow back then, that I never even imagined myself opting computer science as my career. But life has its own ways and I somehow jumped into this field not having any idea about it. And I remember, it was only my 2nd month of my first semester that I started liking programming and the charm of syntax that comes along with it. Soon after, I decided that I wanted to become a developer! what life choose for me was for my own good and I loved it. I started to learn more programming languages. How programs run what are the basic concepts behind it and everything.

🎤 What is your technology stack?

Python, Java, and web (HTML, CSS, bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, php)

🎤 Describe your first project and what is your role in it.

My first ever tech project was a semester project. We were asked to make desktop application in java. One of the most important programming languages for a programmer in my point of view. My project was a blood bank management system.

🎤 What difficulties did you encounter along the way?

Not much but one thing I would mention is building a team that shares the same amount of passion for work is very important. And once you find people with whom you share same frequency of enthusiasm and passion, then its not just a group of people but it becomes a team and work is no more work, it becomes happiness.

🎤 What tips would you give to someone wanting to break into tech?

Join in and you'd love it! Of course in the beginning it will seem difficult but with little patience and Practice you'll love it and ace it. Logical thinking, Mathematics and statistics can help you long way.

🎤 What are your career aspirations?

Honestly I have many! But one thing I always tell myself is that whatever I do I should give my best in it.

🎤 What IT books, resources, and blogs do you read and recommend to others?

Machine Learning: A Probabilistic Perspective by Kevin P. Murphy
Coders at Work: Reflections on the Craft of Programming by Peter Seibel
Java: How to Program: Book by Harvey Deitel and Paul Deitel
и Object Oriented Programming (OOP) using C++ By Tasleem Mustafa – IT Series
These are only some of the books that I personally liked very much and I've learned a lot from them but there are other books too that I really appreciate.
